More reasons I love my house

this furniture we bought from my parents! it really suits our "formal" living room, to the right of the picture is our piano and the next picture shows the gas fireplace that is there. Ya and look at the mess on the entrance way floor!!! got to love that!!! ya just - keeping it real!!

this is our wood fireplace being put to good use!
I love this time of year! fire's glowing and getting all snugly warm beside it! I needed to have both fireplaces on after my afternoon! it's a l-o-n-g story but a great indication that my life is ya well a little crazy and no way near "normal"......(which makes me think I am getting closer to finding a tag line for me blog).... we left our house at 1:30 and didn't get back till 5:30! in this time we went to 4 places looking to get my jeep's tire fixed as it got flat last night while J and Morgan were out hunting! thankfully some kind people were good enough to stop and give them a ride home since the spare tire was also flat....wouldn't you know!! and then they came in for a drink and it was nice to meet some new people in this town and so today we had to borrow our neighbors truck cuz J's is still in the shop....from his accident......and when we finally BOUGHT a new tire!! cuz the flat one was flat cuz there was a HUGE rock stuck into it!!!! we drove all the way to where they were hunting...... J says to me....just don't drop me off cuz I left the hazard lights on so the batteries will be dead.........ya guess what either vehicle DID NOT have???? yup that's right jumper cables!!! so we are on a logging road......far from anything...it's gravel........it's muddy..........it's raining.............painting a pretty picture? I have to remember to bring my camera cuz it was great watching J lay down on this lovely road and try to jack the jeep up......he is always true to his plumber self and he never fails to disappoint when bending over wearing jeans! :-) .........then the jeep slipped off the jack and rolled into our neighbors truck.....thankfully no damage was done to it so J found some Huge rocks and put them in front of the tires.............finally a truck came and stopped and had jumpers........but I hehehe forgot to tell J that when this jeeps batteries are dead.....you cannot take your foot off the gas for at least 15 minutes......ya so it took forever and it wouldn't keep going so the guy left and we waiting for another truck to stop with jumpers and that took another 1/2 hour so finally I left J there and drove to the nearest store got cables.....we jumped the jeep and I drove off changing gears from P to D with my foot still on the gas........whew we finally made it! felt a little crazy but it is done!

ps. they didn't shoot anything but saw a lot of animals and most importantly they had great bonding time together, which I think is crucial for girls her age! to spend time with their dads, get affection from them, get affirmed in that they are loved and accepted.....so they don't go looking for it somewhere else! I told J I think this is wonderful even if I don't want to eat whatever they shoot!!! cuz she has her first crush ever on a boy at school and she needs her dad to be there for her and let her know how valuable she is! and he is doing that!!

going to go sit in front of my fire now! then watch America's Next Top Model.....I love this show!

Maybe one day we will have a fireplace in a house!! It is awesome that J can spend time with Morgan like that. It is so very important for that bond!

Your house is very nice. I love the long single couch. I watched America's Next Top Model last night too. I thought Melrose would be gone.

Wow...sounds like an adventure to me!!!

I agree about girls and their dads...it is sooo important!!! Hubby and Emily do outdoors stuff together...that's sort of their thing, which is totally fine with me! I'm more of an indoors kind of girl!

I'm loving your house more and more. It is so great that J spends time alone with Morgan, you are so right about what you said on my blog.

The furniture looks great in living room. Looks so cozy, especially with the fire places going. We almost had to fire our up yesterday..it was chilly!

If you pick it, I'll be 2 for 2. "Start spreading the muse" over at YewNorkBabe's blog was mine too. Toot toot....that's the sound of my horn.

I like the "new furniture"! How did you end up with all of their furniture??? I need a new set!!!! Mine's broken - too many people sitting on it at one time at bible study!

p.s. you need an area rug to anchor the room....
