here is a pic of Hailey.......doing homework. She is in grade 1 and has had homework every night after school.....the older girls haven't had any! why just her? maybe she needs the extra catch up!!!
this is our wall of fame that I referred to before. It is not even half way done yet.....I don't know where the rest of our pictures are yet!!! yes I still have more boxes to unpack...they are all in the storage room and hopefully by the end of winter they will all be sorted through!!
this is our tv room and J's room.......one of the girls asked me.....why does dad get the room with the tv in it for "his room"????? ya cuz he can!!
this room is showing only half of the size....this is their play room, can you tell? and ya those boxes are still sitting in there like that but the games are put away!!! hahaha
this is from the top of the stairs on the 3rd floor. I love these little windows! and a great example of why we are going to hire painters! there is no way I can get that high up! and the seafoam/mint green that is painted on every wall in all the living spaces must go! at least the bedrooms and bathrooms are not painted this color!!
my walk in closet!! so cool!!
our bedroom! we ordered a new bed frame today.........we broke our last one. Between the 2 of us we weigh over 450 pounds.....so they don't last too long for us!! blush and then we can put our head board on.......and I need pictures....I have so much more wall space here! and I am not sure what to do about the curtains either......I am not a flowery person but for now they are ok and I will wait and see what I do! oh I also bought a feather top mattress today! so I will let you know how that is! I have wanted one for SO long and I figured that was cheaper than buying a new mattress right now!
ahhhh my coveted jacuzzi tub! I LOVE THIS! again not so sure about the lacey curtains but..... they might grow on me!
this is Hailey and Faith's room. I put the bunk beds together all by myself!!! they are pretty big bedrooms and for Christmas this year we are buying them room decor to make their rooms really cute. I have always wanted to do "themed" bedrooms for them and now they are old enough to want them too!
this is the sewing room and possibly future bedroom for one of the girls. It is right at the top of the stairs and I thought a great place to sew and do crafts. My neighbor and I went garage sale shopping on Sat and I scored a whole load of wool and other yarn for FREE!!! so too cool, we are planning on doing some projects together!
Today is also one of my best friends Birthday. Xangelle and I have known each other our whole lives. We have such a close friendship we could be sisters. I have so many great childhood memories with her and her family! we are also related through marriage! k try to follow this, one of her mother's brothers is married to one of my sisters and one of her dad's brothers is married to one of my cousins...........so we share cousins and my nephew is her 1st cousin and my 2nd cousins are her 1st cousins...........so ya.......we just say we are sisters...or good enough anyways!! One of my favorite memories of our childhood was playing in the ravines together.........for hours. Not like today where your children must be in plain view all the time, we scoured the ravines and hills of North Vancouver's Lynn Valley for hours on end..........we didn't even go home to use the bathroom.....uh hem.....ya maybe that is TMI!!! we would find clay banks and sit there and dig and make stuff and live in our make-believe-world. One time we even covered ourselves in the clay/mud then stood on a main street and pretended we were the incredible hulk!!! so much fun! and now as adults we have that always-can-count-on-you-friendships that are rare and unique and I truly feel blessed to have her in my life..........forever........ so please go say hi and wish her a happy birthday!
