We interrupt this broadcast to bring you an important update

My mother in law and I just spent the afternoon in Kamloops, this is the closest city centre to the cabin! we went shopping, got a few more groceries and got a very much needed Starbucks!

We stopped at DQ for lunch where Faith embarrassed me by looking under the bathroom stalls which were occupied!!! the little peeper!!

We have been home for about 1/2 hour and a lady came to the door letting us know that there is a fire close by on the Coquihalla Hwy and we have been officially put on fire watch!!! They will let us know if it gets closer and we need to evacuate! a little nerve racking! mom and I were wondering what do we take with us?? they have a trailer up here and their boat! I can hardly imagine the 2 of trying to hitch them and get out of here! It would be a bit comical!

I just called J and let him know and mom called dad, both weren't too worried but J made sure to tell me to just come home and not go to a hotel cuz it costs too much $$.....funny! I would have to go home in a round about way cuz the highway that I would use to get home is where the fire is! we are hoping that the wind, which is blowing quite hard, starts blowing the right way thus blowing the fire away from where we are! there are SO many dead trees here because of the pine beetle epidemic that BC has been having. This makes for dangerous forest fires!

So if we get evacuated I will definitely tell you all about..........after I am safely home that is!

k back to regular programming which for me means watching the Sound of Music for like the 10th time! Faith has decided she likes it and well she watches things over and over and over and over and my mother-in-law and I are about Do Re Me'd out of our skin! really I love that movie and like to drool over Christopher Plummer who is Canadian btw.......what a hunk he was.......but 10 times in 3 days is getting a bit much!!!! we finally got her to watch Eddie Murphy's Dr. Doo Little we needed a change in background noise!!

Morgan is having so much fun with her new friend, they are like 2 peas in a pod and are enjoying each others company! it is like they have known each other their whole lives! I really am so happy for both of them.

ok my dog is puking so I better go......what is up with that???could be all the fried fish my MIL fed him last night?

We saw the fire on CTV Newshour. They said it's 15 klms from your lake and the wind is expected to blow it away from there says the fire service spokesperson, so hopefully!! Glad your having a good time. I thought Superman was good. Mom did as well and she said she also thought it was allegorical, ie: an only son getting sent to earth to save it. I'm not a Superman fan but must say, if they make more, I'll definitely see them...the effects were excellent.
