Happy Birthday Faith
I can hardly believe that it was 4 years ago today that my last baby was finally born! It was a long wait for Faith that is for sure.
Faith Lauralye Kari was born at 12:00 pm on a Saturday, after I was induced Thursday night!!! I wasn't in active labor the whole time but it was a long haul nonetheless!!!
I almost lost Faith while I was pregnant with her a couple of times. There a couple of things that went wrong when I was pregnant with her. I started bleeding when I was only 14 weeks along and we found out at 25 weeks that it was part of the placenta that was being held on on one side by a blood clot. She really is a miracle child. They all are. I was so relieved she was finally born and I could stop stressing and worrying if I would make it full term.
She was 7 lbs 1 oz.....my smallest baby. You could tell she should have been bigger by looking at her and one look at the damaged placenta and you knew she was named correctly. The nurses told me she earned her name! It took a lot of faith to have all my kids. Faith Lauralye was the completion of what I was dreaming for, the evidence of all my prayers and hopes. She was also born on my grandparents wedding anniversary! I already had the name Lauralye for her middle name, that was the name of endearment that my pup pup called my nene (grandparents), and for her to be born on their wedding anniversary made it even more special.
Faith has been such a blessing to me. For being the 4th child I really needed her to be easy going and she has been. She is such a lovey and a cuddler. I love cuddling!!!! She is very affectionate and so far the easiest for the "terrible two's" .....my kids all really started acting out at 3 1/2 - 4 1/2 ..... which has been a godsend cuz really I can't imagine!!!
She loves chocolate and all things sweet and sugar laced!! She loves McDonalds! She loves playing with the dogs and being outside. She has just discovered a love of playing on the computer! She doesn't pronounce "c,k,g, or y" and I love that she still sounds like a little girl. I am not ready for her to grow up too fast! In fact I loved that she didn't crawl until she was 12 months and then she never really did "crawl" she had the old bum scoot down pact though! She actually ended up overdeveloping one side of her body because of it and didn't walk until she was 17 months. We had all sorts of tests done and x-rays and they found nothing, just over developed muscles in her left leg and right arm. You could see the difference in the width of her legs.
She still crawls into bed with us every night and semi wakes up smacking the mattress until she finds her dad or I then relaxes again into deep sleep! Don't grow up too fast baby girl and Happy Birthday................we love you so very very much!!!!
